Shravan

The Upanayana ceremony, which marks the beginning of a young boy’s study of the Vedas and other sacred scriptures, is an important Hindu custom. It is a very spiritual and significant ritual done in the presence of sacred fire and gurus, both of whom assist the young boy on his spiritual path. The gurus bestow divine blessing and protection on the little boy during the Upanayana ceremony by pouring holy water filled with the energies of numerous deities on his head. It is a tribute to Hinduism’s rich spiritual legacy as well as a powerful instrument for influencing young boys to live meaningful, purposeful, and devotional lives.
